In case of VIT80, we decided to take things a step further and make it more accurate. We have implemented this solution by setting a lower speed limit, so that when you drive over the speed limit, it does not show up on the screen, and it does not emit any sound. This way you have no way of knowing you have exceeded the speed limit.
